I had a little win at work this week. I have been working with the local Macedon Ranges Wildlife Network to trial news ways to reduce vehicle collisions with wildlife. The two large signs which feature a Brush-tailed Phascogale, were installed on a road where there is a high incident of wildlife road kills. The signs which are from either side of the road also feature zebra stripes on the road to raise awareness of drivers of the signs. Working alongside Councils engineers, we are using a vehicle counter system to measure before and after speeds.
